Sanya was one place on my #DTour itinerary that I have never heard of before and was happy to check out. Sanya is located in the southern coast of China’s South island called Hainan. My host was DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Hotel Sanya Haitang Bayand I was excited to check out the Bing Lang Gu (Betel Nut Park) to learn more about the exotic ethnic tribes of Sanya, the Miao & Li Minorities. The minority women have distinct tatoo according to the tribe they belong in and habitually chew on betel nuts that gives them sort of a stimulating effect like caffeine or alcohol.
Bing Lang Gu is located in the middle of Hainan Island, and about 40 minutes driving from Sanya and a not-to-be-missed spot when visiting Hainan. Check out a Miao Tribe’s home in Bing Lang Gu below.
