Topshop Brought In Top Notch Events in Chicago – Miley Cyrus, Paris Club Dinner, Fashion Show Pictures!

The filming of Superman in Chicago is not the only thing that’s stopping downtown traffic lately. Sir Philip Green along with Miley Cyrus‘ has shut down Pearson street for the official opening of Topshop Topman in Michigan Avenue yesterday morning complete with a fashion runway .

After my Pre-Opening visit to Topshop on Wednesday evening, I also had the pleasure in joining the exclusive sit-down dinner party at Paris Club and surprised to see Miley Cyrus with her mom and boyfriend Liam Hemsworth in attendance. I of course tweeted about the excitement and buzz in the room. Cocktails and wines poured all through the night and with a beautifully planned menu that started with a seafood platter. There were a little under 200 attendees and the Topshop big guns who flew in from London were all carefully seated at each table. Besides the Topshop honcho, I also sat with a great group of writers and editors from the Chicago Tribune, Urban Daddy, and Time Out Magazine. Right before dessert, Sir Philip Green warmly welcomed everyone and I loved how he recounted “only by chance did we find the new location in Chicago” for Topshop. He also mentioned that they hope to open in Australia and Brazil next.

After dinner, another celebrity Gerard Butler also joined the festivities.

Topshop Chicago is now occupying three floors: TOPSHOP in the cellar and first floor, and Topman on the second floor. Topshop also carries shoes, lingerie, makeup, and accessories. The Chicago location is the second fully owned International Flagship.
