The Chicagonistas just recently toured (as well as wined and dined) the kitchen and The Lobby of The Peninsula Hotel Chicago. It started off with Executive Chef Kai Lermen and Executive Pastry Chef Celine Plano welcoming us to the busy kitchen and showing us pans and racks of culinary chocolatey delights.
The Peninsula’s premiere Chocolate Bar “Chocolate at The Pen” has been around since 2003 but they just recently made room for more improvement. Besides the revamped chocolate buffet they’ve set up live stations where desserts are prepared in front of their guests. A special four course prix-fixe menus are also now available. Couple all that with excellent wine selection and the perfect accompaniment to “Jazz at the Pen“. Your feet, tummy, and hearts will be doing the happy dance! The “Chocolate at The Pen” are available on Friday and Saturday evenings only.
