Cruze’n with Glee

A few weeks ago I had an opportunity to watch the Glee Live Tour here in Chicago courtesy of the new 2011 GM Cruze. I have never seen Glee on TV and was really in for my kids to enjoy the concert. I didn’t expect that I would actually enjoy it! For starters, the diverse Glee casts were a bunch of kids that resemble any of our children in real life and I love that they feel confident being in their own skin. A lesson that is really hard to teach any young ones and thanks to Glee, the kids don’t have to be stuck with other Hollywood young teens as their models. I also found it amazing that my son can sing along with songs I knew from the 80s. It was a joy to feel the gaps between our generations get closer with every song. I sang to his songs and he sang to mine.

Just like Glee, GM has been around for many generations and they also have managed to create loyal die-hard car fans. Just like my expectation with the Glee show and because I’m used to a much bigger and luxurious car, I didn’t expect to like the Cruze. But my boys fell in love with it because it looked great and more importantly, it felt great to drive! It had everything I needed. It has the Hands-free Bluetooth connection for my cell phone, Navigation with On Star, XM radio access, and more.

With today’s high gasoline costs I’m now welcoming the idea of getting a smaller and more fuel-efficient vehicle like the GM Cruze.

Disclosure: Tickets to the Glee Tour and 5 days of car demo use was provided by GM Cruze. All opinions are my own.

I really think that’s why the show is such a success. It crosses the generation barrier so easily with just good music. I love that show!
