As busy as I was running around in the urban setting of Bangkok, Thailand, my schedule was even more packed in the three days I was in the tropical scenery of Phuket. My gracious host who is tucked in a more quiet part of the island DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel – Surin Beach planned quite an active excursion for me.
First full day was a boat trip to an island skipping excursion visiting Kon Phi Phi, Bamboo, and Rang Yai Islands. Kon Phi Phi island was quite crowded but the water was clear blue and perfect for snorkeling! The next day was even more active. It started with water rafting then elephant ride, zip-lining, and then drove an ATV up and down the mountains. That evening we even went out to dinner at Hard Rock Cafe in the busier side of the island in Patong. Perfect for Americans just like me missing some good ole’ burger.
