The newly opened LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS musical at Mercury Theatre is guaranteed fun for all who watches! The story starts at the sad Mushnik Flower Shop located on skid row. Flower Assistant, Seymour, stumbled across a new breed of carnivorous plant that became the answer to Mushnik’s failing business. It brought in business and fame! Seymour saved Mushnik, but not without a big price to pay. Or maybe I should say BLOOD.
The plant was hungry for fresh human blood. Seymour grew the plant with his drops of blood, but when the plant grew gigantic, it demanded more! Before long, the plant was devouring people with Seymour’s help.
LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS runs from March 1 through April 28. Music by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken who are also the creative geniuses behind Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin.
