Most of us know that in order to grow a business and be successful you have to continually broaden your skill set.  This is true for most any profession, including those in the nanny industry. Lucky for them (and for all of us working parents who depend on our amazing nannies!) there’s help right here at home!

Northbrook-based First Class Care, Inc. is the Chicago host of National Nanny Training Day, an impressive day nationwide when nannies come together to increase their child-rearing knowledge and know-how.  First Class Care owner and founder, Erin Krex has assembled an amazing array of presenters, all of whom understand the special relationships between nannies and their charges and the ones between nannies and the parents who hire them.

Nannies who attend this special training day will participate in a variety of workshops presented by local experts including: Music for the Everyday with Little Miss Ann, an Old Town School of Music instructor and former CPS teacher; Intro to Bullying with Beth Chung and Dori Mages of North Shore Pediatric Therapy; Homework without Tears, Battles and Headaches by Karen Jacobson and Lauren Bondy of Parenting Perspectives; Toddler Sleep and Potty Solutions by Janeen Hayward, founder of Swellbeing and more!

Feel smarter already?  There’s still time to register!  The cost is $49 to attend and includes lunch and great giveaways!

Three cheers for nannies indeed! I run a parent consulting group here in the Chicagoland area. One of our most successful services is our night nanny/new baby nurse services… allowing exhausted parents to get a little rest while their bundle of joy is cared for by an experienced nanny.
