The Illinois Farm Families Opening Conversation with Chicagoland Moms

| August 17, 2011 | 3 Comments

The IL Farm Families recognize the consumer’s need for more info and so they launched a program where city moms can learn more on how they raise food for families. This fall they are looking for 5 Field Moms that will go on a behind-the-scenes tour. The tour will cover everything from growing food, to the care of animals, and protecting lands.

A week ago the IL Farm Families held a Mom Bloggers Event and gave a peek of what the Field Moms program would be like. Bloggers met with farmers who quickly touched on issues they deal with and their normal day by day run of the farm.

You can read more about IL Farm Families at http://www.watchusgrow.org/ and learn how you can apply for the Field Moms position there. They are also hosting a Twitter chat this evening at 8pm cst. Follow @ILFarmFamilies #fieldmoms.
