Long known for its “Big Shoulders”, Chicago has been a hub for those in need dating back as far as its rigorous beginnings. The Hope Institute for Children & Families started in Springfield Illinois 1957 when Dr. & Mrs. Charles E. Jordan had a vision for their special needs daughter.
Today, with over 13 sites throughout our great state, The Hope Institute offers residential, academic, health care, and resources for families.
Chicagonista visited the “The Hope Institute Learning Academy” 1628 W. Washington, Chicago at the invitation of Dr. Tamara King, Principal and Dr. Mary Ellen Caron, CEO.
We were delighted all morning by the inclusion and detail of the warm, inviting learning environment. The students were loving and amazing.
Drs. Caron and King announced Hope’s largest fundraising initiative in history – The Chicago Dream House Raffle. All proceeds will help The Hope Institute for Children and Families provide services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other developmental disabilities throughout Illinois. For just a $150 raffle ticket, individuals have the chance to win a grand prize $1.2 million Hinsdale home or $1 million cash. Three early bird drawings also take place throughout the raffle for cash prizes ranging from $25,000 to $1000. The earlier tickets are purchased, the more chances to win. The first early bird drawing deadline was September 30. So get geared up for Early Bird Drawing #2 October 28th!
Good Luck, Chicagonistas! Your attention will help so many!
