Now in its 22nd year, First Look for Charity appears prominently on the calendar of philantrophists, socialites and car buffs for a fun-filled night evening before the show opens to public. On Feb. 8, 2013, abundant hors d’oeuvres, champagne, wine, soft drinks and desserts await at the nation’s largest auto show. A coordinated feast of 200,000 food and beverages tied to culinary celebrations adds to an evening that benefits 18 notable Chicago-area charities. All in the 1.3 million square feet of the Chicago Auto Show. And to top it all off, two attendees will win the keys to a new 2013 Buick Encore and a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe.
Exciting participating restaurant line-ups include David Burke’s Primehouse, and Fogo De Chao, but I’m sure that the Million Dollar Quartet who will be rocking the stage for everyone to enjoy can certainly steal the scene on that evening. Not to forget that you will get to check out the newest line-up of cars from every manufacturers in the show!
More importantly, 18 vital Chicago area charities will benefit from the more than $2 million expected to be raised by First Look for Charity. The following are 100 Club of Chicago, Boys & Girls Clubs, Chicago Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago , Catholic Charities, Diocese of Joliet, Clearbrook , The Cradle Foundation , Cystic Fibrosis Foundation , Franciscan Community Benefit Services , Franciscan St. James Health , Ray Graham Association for People with Disabilities, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Lurie Children, March of Dimes, Misericordia Heart of Mercy, Respiratory Health Association of Metropolitan Chicago Special Olympics Illinois , Spina Bifida Association of Illinois, and Jesse White Tumbling Team.
