Sweet treats, fashion in the City and Lollapalooza

Let’s keep it short and sweet this week.

Sweet –as in Sprinkle’s Cupcakes. I was invited to this fab event at the new Sprinkle’s store on 50 E. Walton St.  It’s a posh Beverly Hills-based cupcake boutique with the finest  ingredients like sweet cream butter, bittersweet Callebaut chocolate, Nielsen-Massey Madagascar bourbon vanilla and sprinkles imported from France. Mmmmmm tasty! Stop by and tell them I sent you!

On to Edrop-Off Express new location party (2117 N Halsted St) .  Edrop-off is a high-end eBay store that resells designer apparel, jewelry, handbags and shoes.  It has cost-free listings, private drop-off rooms and even closet cleaning services.  Check out the auctions over at shopedropoff.com and release your inner fashionista.

This weekend it’s Lollapalooza!  Kick off the weekend concerts with  W Hotels of Chicago for OH LA LA LOLLA! On Thursday, August 5th from 5-8pm, W Chicago Lakeshore will kick off Lollapalooza 2010 with a DJ Series featuring a tribute to Lady Gaga by Mary Nisi of Toast & Jam and Gaga inspired fashions styled by Corri McFadden of Edrop-off.  Event is free and open to the public.

Calling all Brides!!! Well former brides… help a bride to be out – whiteCHICAGO ( a new, sample and once-wed designer bridal boutique in River North,) is hosting “Consign & Dine,” an annual month-long promotion that gives a “complimentary dinner for two” to any bride who consigns her once-wed gown either in-store or online at www.whiteXchange.com.

Courtesy of Scoozi! (410 W. Huron), Lettuce Entertain You’s Neighborhood Italian Restaurant in River North, the first 20 brides to consign their gown will receive a $75 gift certificate (excluding tax and gratuity).

Until Next time!
