It was Salsa Night at Nacional 27 and Chef Chico Vilchez unveiled a sizzling new menu for dinner service and the Chicagonistas were invited to check them out. We started off with a Ceviche Sampling platter and followed by some delicious chorizo empanada and tiny tacos for appetizers. For entree, I sampled the Center Cut Ahi Tuna served with fire roasted corn, avocado, and cilantro salsa was filling and comforting.
This modern Latin restaurant and lounge got vibrant as the night went on. Guests were invited to join in on the dance floor for some Salsa lessons and the music kept everything lively. With the cold Chicago winter nights, visiting Nacional 27 where the sound and taste keeps the soul heated is a must on all Chicagonistas list.
