Shanghai, a beautiful city of contrast

I spent 4 glorious day in Shanghai and my gracious host was DoubleTree Shanghai – Pudong.  The beautiful city of Shanghai is a bit difficult to place in to words but considering that I’ve gone to 4 other cities before Shanghai, I think this city just about sums up and everything I’ve seen in this country and I think that it was the perfect ending to my China trip.  Shanghai is a city of contrast. The new, the old, the modern, the traditional, and all the glam it came along with from even during the ancient times.

My welcome landing in Shanghai I was greeted by GM David Givens and his his wonderful staff at the airport. After the very long travel of 4 hours drive from Wanzhou to Chongqing airport, then flight to Shanghai, I was so happy to  see them welcome me at the airport. From there we took the Mag Lev  (Magnetic Levitation) – Shanghai Transrapid  that runs at about 300 miles/hr!

Right after the welcome we went straight ahead to the famous Nanjing Road and of course to view the Shanghai Pudong’s beautiful skyline and Puxi’s old and new elegance from The Bund.
