December 17, 2008 – Every year I start shopping for Christmas around Labor Day. Each year I proclaim that this is the year I will be organized, efficient and stick to my list. Oh, and be done by December 1st. It never happens. I blame my family’s tradition of exchanging Secret Santa on Thanksgiving. Whatever the reason, I always have to trudge back out into the crowds and find something for that someone on my list. This year, I am skipping the mall crowds and spending my money and time at Andersonville’s Later-er Night Shopping.

This year, the Later-er Night shopping is conveniently set for December 18th from 6-10 p.m. Close enough to Christmas without giving you heart palipitations that you might not find something. The shops are going to be open – yes, later than usual – with huge discounts on great gifts and eats plus free refreshments, entertainment and pictures with Santa. I have small children who will really only let me wander into a maximum of three shops to browse so I am going to pre-shop using Andersonville’s fabulous gift guide that can be found at I want to swear that I will be organized enough to only enter the shops I need things from, but honestly, you know I am going to have to peek in each and every adorable shop. Maybe I will get a jump on this year’s birthday shopping!

Andersonville has even organized my coupons! Before you head to Later-er Night make sure and print out the coupons found on Present them for discounts at all the great boutiques and eateries.
