Hilary Duff comes to the Windy City, eDrop-off opens new stores and more great events

Aren’t you guys ready for warmer weather?! I’m ready to shed my coat and get to the fabulous events!



On Wednesday March 23rd Hilary Duff came into Chicago to support Blessings in a Backpack at Edward Jenner Elementary school (pic above at the event). This unique program is designed to feed elementary school children whose families qualify for the federal Free and Reduced Price Meal program, and have little to no food on the weekends.

LeAnn Rimes was also spotted at Sofia Vintage

May 25th is the final Oprah show. Personally, I am disappointed being this is her last year, her episodes are so….. plain

A Michael Jordan branded steakhouse is scheduled to start construction in June on the second floor of the InterContinental Chicago hotel on North Michigan Avenue.

Block 37 on State Street has been sold to lenders that include Bank Of America Corp after a foreclosure auction. Block 37 has has had a turbulent time after many tenants canceled plans to provide a movie theater -Muvico Entertainment LLC, David Barton Gym and a dinner-theater group called Teatro ZinZanni. What will happen to block 37 after this is unclear.


eDrop-Off, a leader in online designer consignment, is opening a pop-up shop in the Gold Coast neighborhood of Chicago on Monday, March 28, 2011. Located at 1155 N. State Street, this location will be dedicated to consignment drop-offs in the neighborhood.
