“There will be something here for everyone – almost like the United Nations of food”
Mike Roberts CEO of LYFE Kitchen was referring to the variety of lifestyle menu offerings they will have available to their customers. LYFE (Love Your Food Everyday) Kitchen has developed food choices for flexitarians to vegetarians, and omnivores to vegans. Chicago is LYFE Kitchen’s third location to open following two of their successful eco-conscious restaurants in Palo Alto and Culver City in California. They are also set to open two more Southern California locations in Tarzana and West Hollywood.
The 4300 sq. ft. Chicago restaurant is not set to open until November 15th, but there’s a lot of buzz going on already. Yesterday LYFE Kitchen held a “Forklifting” media bash, a twist on the traditional groundbreaking ceremony at the corner of their new 413 N.Clark and Hubbard St. location that progressed to a LYFE Kitchen menu tasting held at The Montgomery Club. LYFE Kitchen is owned and operated by Chicagoan Carey Cooper and partnered with Mike Roberts and Chicago celebrated Chef Art Smith of Table 52 (also well known for his stint as Oprah Winfrey’s former personal chef).
