October 5, 2008 – The Silicon Valley Moms Group (“a collaborative community of Bloggers that operates blogs around the country”) and is on a mission to help public school teacher’s need to facilitate programs they would like to run in their schools but couldn’t afford to.  Jen and I who are the 2 Editors of are both contributing writers for the (one of the many blogs under SVmoms group) and so we are asking that you help support this month-long mission.

Let’s all make a conscious effort in giving…Even a week’s worth of these below can make a difference:

  • instead of buying a daily java from favorite cafe’, why not make our own coffee.
  • instead of buying a magazine or newspaper, why not access the digital version on the internet.
  • instead of paying for the cost of 2 movie tickets, why not rent or watch “on demand” free movies.

Just imagine –  for the measly amount of money you just saved, you can now make a difference for a Chicago public school teacher who wants to make her wish come true for her students. Any of us can do this, because every dollar counts…for our teachers…for our kids…for our future…
