Chicago gossip, celebrities, and exclusive events!

| October 28, 2009 | 2 Comments

Welcome to the first post about Chicago celebrity news and exclusive events. Compared to other big named cities, it seemed they had more events with big name stars in attendance. Not anymore! We are becoming
a hot city with exclusive events and homegrown celebrities that are making it big in movies, reality shows, and television!

Get ready for a little celebrity gossip and lots of entertainment news, exclusive Chicago events and rundowns from Chi-town. If there is anything else you want me to cover let me know in the comments and I will do my best!

05_Flatbed_1 - AUGUSTWe have a new King and Queen of Chicago nightlife and that is Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski from the last season on The Bachelorette. I myself have spotted them in LuxBar enjoying drinks and a meal with a booth of friends. They were gracious to take pictures with fans from a
nearby table. I must say they look fantastic in person! Jillian is cute, petite and trim. Ed is very handsome! (Pic via nydailynews)

They have also been spotted at Sunda drinking tequila and chatting with the restaurant’s owner (Billy Dec) and celebrating the opening of the new Victoria’s Secret store on Chicago’s Michigan Avenue.

Speaking of Vicky, entrepreneur and manalite (a male version of socialite) Billy Dec welcomed the Victoria Secret Angels Miranda Kerr, Doutzen Kroes, Marisa Miller (seen in the Twitter
picture above) to Chicago with dinner at Sunda!

bacardi party
Last week I was invited to the Bacardi Flavor Exchange event. The goal is to create an opportunity for consumers to experience the culture, flavor and vibes of multiple destinations in one night. For Chicago: Urban inner city circa 1980’s and China.

I had a wonderful time. On the Upper level Dragon Berry specialty cocktails were enjoyed with a very entertaining Dragon dance. Also through out the venue traditional and modern dim sum-styled appetizers
were sampled along with Wii gaming stations and a Pagoda influenced Flavor bar available for guests to mix a shot of Dragon Berry with their favorite juice concoction.

bacardi party3On the lower level the 80’s aka the Golden Era of Hip Hop was in full affect. A graffiti wall with real graffiti artists showing their skills (pic), and b-boys and b-girls. Snow cone machines and hot dog stands
with a DJ pumping 80’s and 90’s hits while break dancers entertained. This is a yearly event so don’t miss out next year!

Support Chicago’s own Sherri Shephard (comedienne and co-host of The View) and her new show “Sherri” (Lifetime, 7 p.m.). She plays a recently divorced woman who’s working as a paralegal but wants to be an actress. She is doing well with viewers but lets put her over the top!

Lastly, who are the women that will be the cast for Windy City Wives?

Towers Productions won’t tell which Chicago hopefuls made the cut but before you get too excited the production camp is shopping around the pilot for a major network. Lookout for a group of real-life friends
with a set of camera’s following close behind in this fabulous city!

Until next time!
I tell what I know, not what THEY say
