David Burke & Rick Gresh

It’s not much of a gamble that celebrity Chef David Burke and  DBPrimehouse‘s Executive Chef Rick Gresh opened their new “handwich” shop Burke’s Bacon Bar at The James Hotel.  A sure win if you ask me! It was also quite a sweet deal to try out some of the delicious selections at the media event held yesterday at the DB Primehouse Restaurant. The one-hand, easy bite-sized gourmet sandwiches come in a variety of flavors like the three that we sampled at last night: Five-Spice Duck – a Chinese bacon, hoisin sauce on a traditional Chinese steamed bun, Beef N’ Cheddar – braised beef with a Matilda bacon on a baguette, and Chilly Willy – creamy shrimp salad with crisp Jack Pepper bacon on a soft bun. These grab n’ go handwiches are sold for $4 each or 3 for $11.

Desserts are not an exception here too. From Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookies, to Bacon Peanut Brittles, and more.
