Title: ChicaGHOUL

By: Eulalio Fabie DeSilva
October 26, 2008 – It is that time of the year to see hordes of ghouls, monsters and other creatures gracing the front lawns to celebrate and scare kids during the trick or treat holiday. Hovering above the scattered Autumn’s golden and red leaves, a ghoul or two can be seen stalking anyone nearing this northside Ravenswood neighborhood.

Hanging from the wiring still gives it a half surreal and half Disney-esque look, but it’s a major upgrade from the usual white-sheet-over-heads and cut out holes for our eyes to see. Seen from this digital sepia photograph, evokes otherworldly and freakingly frightening with its outstretched arm.

This photograph also give the eery feel to Poe’s “The Raven”. Dark, sinister-like and a little tip that an evening stroll along the Ravenswood blocks will never be a lame halloween, nevermore!

Amazing picture. My kids have been picking out which is the scariest decoration in the neighborhood but this could take the cake.
