December 15, 2008 – If you are still looking for the perfect live Christmas Tree, look no further than Andersonville’s Gethsemane Garden Center. This huge garden center is located on the northern edge of Andersonville at 5739 N. Clark but when you arrive you will think you have stumbled upon a Christmas wonderland. Each year Gethsemane transforms itself into holiday wonderland full of twinkling lights, holiday music and an abundance of decorations.

Gethsemane hand picks its trees from tree farms. Then, the trees are delivered twice weekly from Thanksgiving until the third week in December ensuring that the trees are fresh. Their assortment of trees is also amazing. Are you looking for Scotch or White Pine? Fraser or Balsam Fir? A live potted tree? Gethsemane has them all. And, they will make a fresh cut on the trunk, give you care instructions, bale the tree for transport to your home and tie it to your car for you. If you don’t have a car, Gethsemane also offers a delivery and set-up option for your tree. If you have time constraints, the staff there will even pick out a tree to your specifications and have it ready for pick up or delivery.

If you already have a tree you should still stop in to check out their custom holiday decorations including wreaths, centerpieces and garlands. Their shop is also filled with beautiful gifts for those special hard to shop for people on your list. I have picked up a couple of things for family members here but I cannot divulge – I do not want to ruin the surprise!
I have loved Gethsemane Garden Center since I moved to Andersonville. Their staff is knowledgeable and always so kind to my children. No matter the season they always provide the most wonderful selection and display of all things seasonal but at Christmastime they add some real magic to what they provide.
