5 Best Finds at IHHS 2016

| May 22, 2016 | 0 Comments

Earlier this month, I walked 44k steps inside McCormick Place to see all the nifty things coming out for your kitchen and homes at #IHHS2016! I spent three days trekking up and down the aisles to see it all.  These are my top 5 best finds from IHHS 2016:

Microwave Safe Steel Bowls from Bonita – I actually saw these bowls go directly in the microwave and heat with absolutely no sparking!! No more foreign smells/tastes from your plastic containers.

Igloo’s new TrailMaker cooler. Not only does it have large, rugged wheels with a decent clearance to go with you everywhere, it also has a nifty compartment for your sunscreen and magazines and even a padded safe compartment for your smartphone.

Remington’s new prototype iCafe – which is slated to be released late Fall 2016 not only makes a single cup of coffee, but now will make you a specialty coffee drink by steaming milk directly into your cup.

Microplane’s new Garlic Slicer – If you always wished you could have garlic chips instead of potato, now you can! This new garlic slicer allows you to slice garlic wafer thin without slicing your fingers.

Bob from Bobsweep – I literally was stopped when walking down the aisle in the Lakeside center and boy am I glad I was! Bob by Bobsweep is their newest robot vacuum, who can be run by a remote, does carpet and hard floors, knows where he left off and goes home when he needs a battery charge. With Bob, you literally never have to vacuum or mop ever again.

Bob Pet Hair Plus

Bonus- this last is technically not a *thing* at IHHS – I was lucky enough to meet Emeril Lagasse and have him autograph a cookbook for me! Excuse my messy hair/tired self, I ran into Emeril late in the afternoon on my 3rd day at the show.

I had a blast at IHHS 2016 and hope you’ll try out a few of these new *must haves* for your home.
